Carpets are sold in standard sizes; our minimum size for order is 24 square feet or 2.2 square meters, including custom.

CARPET MAINTENANCE

Blu Knight Décor carpets are life-time investments. In order to protect them and durably extend their life, we recommend to clean at regular intervals and follow the maintenance guidelines below.

Do not wait for your carpets to be heavily soiled before taking action.

CARPET CLEANING GUIDELINES

1. VACUUMING

The cornerstone and most basic maintenance technique to keeping your carpets clean and beautiful is effective vacuuming a regular intervals.
- All carpets should be vacuumed at least once a week.
- All carpets located in high-traffic areas such as hallways, doorways, stairs and rooms as well as areas where pets spend time should be vacuumed more often.
- Loose soil should be removed from carpet surface immediately, so as to avoid penetration into the carpet pile.

2. SPILLS

Whether it is dry or wet spills, all spills should be removed immediately. In case of spills, time is key.
- Dry spills : scoop up the spill immediately. Vacuum the excess material or scrape dried soil with the blunt edge of a spoon. Always work from the outer edge of the spot toward the center.
- Wet spills : wet the spot with cold water and blot it with a white cotton towel. Always blot by pressing downward. Never rub in a circular motion as this may contribute to spreading the stain. Wring out the towel to remove moisture and blot again. After lifting as much of the spot as possible, place a stack of clean, white towel over it. Place a weight on the towels overnight so they press firmly against the spot.
- In most cases, this should be followed by the application of a spot remover and further blotting. After using cleaning products, blot the area again with a white cloth to remove all chemical residue. Follow with a water rise to fully flush the residue. Repeat the blotting to dry the carpet.

4. SILK CARPETS

- We recommend the services of dry-cleaning professionals.
- At home, do use dry cleaning agents only and avoid the use of water and water-based cleaners.
- In case of stains or spills, use the bolt and clean method as stated above.
- Silk pile may be brushed with a soft hair brush to remove any matting caused by blotting. DO NOT USE METAL BRISTLES. DO NOT BRUSH SILK PILE if appears normal after blotting.

5. WOOL CARPETS

- Vacuum the wool carpet thoroughly and regularly.
- In case of dry spills : warm water and detergent should be sprayed under pressure into the carpet. The loosened dirt is to be removed by suction.
- DO NOT OVER WET THE CARPET. MAKE SURE CARPET IS DRIED THOROUGHLY.


ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS

We do not warrant or endorse repellent or topical treatment for wool carpets. Wool fibres have a natural protective membrane that helps repel moisture and keeps dirt at the surface of the pile, where it is easy to vacuum away. Coating the fibers with a stain repellent may improve moisture resistance, but prevent the fibres from releasing dust and dirt, thus accelerating soiling over time. The best methods to keep your wool carpets clean and beautiful remains regular and thorough vacuuming, periodic professional cleaning and taking quick action if spill occurs.

LIMITED AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY

Blu Knight Décor Ltd warrants to the buyer that our carpets will perform normally when used under normal conditions with proper maintenance and for the purpose intended. Blu Knight Décor Ltd limited and exclusive warranty is not assignable and is not transferable to subsequent purchasers and/or owners of the products. Any stain or soil repellent treatment applied after purchase will void this limited warranty.

This limited warranty does not cover and expressly excludes any damage, loss, cost, defect or deficiency arising out of or relating to: (a) accident, abuse, misuse, vandalism or animals; (b) chemicals, improper cleaning or maintenance; (c) mold and mildew; (d) unreasonable use; (e) improper storage, handling, application, fabrication or installation practice; (f) fire, flood or other acts, omissions, causes or events beyond the control of Blu Knight Décor Ltd ; or (g) any other loss, cost, damage, defect or deficiency not within the scope of this limited and exclusive warranty.

This limited warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty given by Blu Knight Décor Ltd with respect to this product. All other representations or warranties, express or implied, are expressly disclaimed, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or any implied warranties claimed to arise from trade usage, custom or course of dealing. In no event shall Blu Knight Décor Ltd's liability exceed the value of the goods.

All claims for defects hereunder must be presented to Blu Knight Décor Ltd, in writing, within ten (10) days after buyer has accepted the delivery of the said merchandise and discovers and/or should have discovered the alleged defect(s). Blu Knight Décor Ltd shall then be provided a reasonable opportunity to examine the allegedly nonconforming product and verify any such defect before its use or further processing. Failure of buyer to comply with these notice provisions shall constitute a waiver by buyer of all claims in respect thereto.
